I was talking about Offense. Not pitching or Bowman. Looks like I am out for the rest of the year. I got released from thread starting.

 

 

I have no idea why I quoted your post. I could have sworn I quoted @voiceofreason’s post.

I disagree with you about Bowman. He has been outstanding the majority of his outings.

 

I guess I have seen the bad outings. His stuff doesn't overpower anyone. Maybe he could be another Jared Hughes, which would be ok. Long relief and 6th inning pitcher.

Let's see what Jimmy Herget has. Coming in for his major league debut. Apparently it isn't hot enough for Herget. He has three shirts on. Two undershirts and his jersey.

 

He's from Florida. What do you expect?

And welcome to the big leagues. Herget gives up a 2 run homer.

 

After getting a ground out, he gave up another bomb and then allowed 3 consecutive singles and another run before getting out of the inning. All total he gave up 3 earned runs on 5 hits.

 

On the bright side, he threw more strikes than balls and he didn't walk anybody.

Frustrating to lose those two games to the Indians this weekend but we are in a way better spot than we've been the last four seasons.

I'm waiting for "three steps forward, two steps back" or the reverse to end. We need a good run.
