Below is the list of players selected to play in this years Kentucky/Indiana all-star series this summer. The boys have 13 selections instead of the normal 12 selections since Allen will be unable to play.

Kalakon (Waggener), Dieonte Miles (Walton-Verona), Max Reyes (Casey County), Jamarrion Sharp (Hopkinsville), TreVon Smith (Taylor County), KyKy Tandy (University Heights).

All did not try out. Kyle and Jacob wouldnt be able to compete in the game due to having to be on campus early for basketball. Michael is currently injured and recently had another surgery on his foot. I have no idea why JJ did not show.

As someone who has followed Kentucky high School hoops for a long time...they left off some key players. They didn't take anyone from the ninth. I wish there was a better method for selection. I've heard there are a lot of politics involved.

It will take place. It’s usually the Wednesday before the Senior games. Not sure on a location yet.

Who would you take from the 9th?

 

Sissons from highlands, any of the Newport trio, or Thelen from CCH. Reyes from Casey county is a nice player, but he put up numbers on a middle of the road team in the 12th. Moreover, Baughman should have made it over him if they wanted a player from region 12 or the Bruner kid from West Jess. The Butler kid from J'town had a good season, but how did he make it over a kid like Tolley, when Tolley led his team to Rupp. I get its an imperfect science, but to not have one kid from one of the top 3 regions (9th)...But congrats to all the kids that made it!
