Sissons from highlands, any of the Newport trio, or Thelen from CCH. Reyes from Casey county is a nice player, but he put up numbers on a middle of the road team in the 12th. Moreover, Baughman should have made it over him if they wanted a player from region 12 or the Bruner kid from West Jess. The Butler kid from J'town had a good season, but how did he make it over a kid like Tolley, when Tolley led his team to Rupp. I get its an imperfect science, but to not have one kid from one of the top 3 regions (9th)...But congrats to all the kids that made it!

Did you see the kids from the 12th region play that you are talking about? Reyes was the best senior guard in the region. Extremely strong and let the game come to him. He beat Mercer late in the season and averaged more points and more rebounds than Bruner and Baughman combined. Mercer and West were middle of the road 12th region teams also.

I will say this about Reyes, he had a really good tryout. Everyone in the gym was impressed. Also, Tolley wasn’t at the tryout either.

Reyes is committed to play at Campbellsville University. That's the highest offer from anyone from the 12th region. IMO, and I follow 12th region hoops closely he was the most dynamic guard in our region this year. I heard he was dynamite at the try-out, and it helps that Maze Stallworth was his coach at Casey County his first couple of seasons.

I could see Max thriving in that setting. His game is very geared toward creating his own shot off the dribble, and he has great range.

Based on the team's record (14 wins 17 losses) and Max's shooting %s, Max is a below average high school shooter on a below average high school team. He only shot 35% for threes and 72% for free throws. As the point guard he took 35 to 40% of the team's shots so he created his own shot but not shots for his teammates. This will have to change at the next level.
