November 22, 200619 yr Memphis can certainly score and are athletic. UK will have to shoot well from the perimeter and get back better on "D". If they can, plus minimize the TO's and stay out of post foul trouble, UK will win this game. UK - 83 Memphis - 75
November 22, 200619 yr Should be a fun game to watch Memphis likes to run and gun hopefully UK can keep up. Dorsey is lazy so Morris should have a field day with him on the inside. I like UK by 4:thumb:

As far as the good shooting, I am worried that fatigue might play a role today.
November 22, 200619 yr Author Unless UK comes out of this game losing by 20+ points or just looks horrific, being 3-2 or 4-1 and heading back to the mainland, I will say the trip was a success.

As far as the good shooting, I am worried that fatigue might play a role today.Memphis doesn't appear to me, to be very disciplined and have questionable shot selection, at times. I don't think fatigue, with UK is a real concern with all the guards they have but rebounding, foul trouble for Morris and Crawford, concern me.

The reason I am citing fatigue is more because of the short turnaround in between game times; only about a 16 hour break and very little preparation.

November 22, 200619 yr I just hope we can match the energy and intensity that Memphis will bring. With the short turnaround and playing a team that just runs from start to finish, it will be key for UK to match their energy and intensity. I'd actually like to see Tubby and the boys slow it down some today and make Memphis play a little Tubby ball because I dont think Memphis can do it and be successful. If UK is to win they MUST get back on defense and not allow easy buckets. Do that and they should win. If not it will be a long day.

I'd say the trainers are earning their money right now, for all teams remaining.

November 22, 200619 yr This is another good test for the Cats. The fast pace of Memphis may be the wake up call for the KY defense. The key tonight is transition defense or Memphis scores layups all night. Kentucky 74 Memphis 70
November 22, 200619 yr Same key as yesterday. Slow down the break and have a chance to win the game in the final 2 minutes. Try and run with Memphis St, and it's a 20 point loss...
