If you guys hurry home after the game, you can get your basketball season started Saturday morning.

Disclaimer: The following statement is in no way, shape or form intended as disrespect for the fine program at O'Cath.

Unless the Aces have improved dramatically from last season, they will not like what they find when they visit Harrodsburg.

The Aces were runner up last year & the year before here they are again knocking on the door .Did Mercer beat them last year?

And that answers who wins the game between Mercer and OCath HOW???!!!:irked:

We'll just go to state in that as well. According to some posters in Kentucky Preps, our school is now called Owensboro Sports Academy because of the success of EVERY sport we played.

I like that, I never heard that one, got anymore cheers?

Thanks for the good riddance. For the record, we did beat Harrodsburg back in 96 as an underdog when they had Dennis Johnson and Company. The only touchdown came from Coach Edge's brother Robert for a 96 yarder. On the film, you can hear the coaches for Harrodsburg stating that he was the fastest white boy they have ever seen.

You will see the fastest white boy friday night. #2!

It aint gonna happen. Like stated earlier they are not going to like what they see or feel friday night.

OC's season has ended the past two seasons at the hand of two very good rushing teams, Belfry in 2004 and Russell in 2005. Coach Edge has seen his defenses get absolutely devoured in those two games. Belfry ran for over 500 yards in 2004..Russell ran for alot last year but it was considerably less than 2004...

What this tells me is that Coach Edge will not allow himself to settle for a bunch of state runner-up trophies,, and he knows that in order to win a state title you have to be able to stop a great rushing team. I have a feeling that many an offseason hour has been spent by Edge learning how to better prepare his teams for a dominant rushing attack.

Yet,,, this OC team has overachieved and don't have the offensive firepower of the previous squads. I feel that OC plays Mercer tough,,, but just doesn't have the athleticism to pull the upset.

Mercer 28

OC 14

What is the status of Evan Walker, Owensboro Catholic's quarterback? Reports are that he separated a shoulder against Trigg County.

We'll just go to state in that as well.

Doubtful. That chance was blown in March.

Wow ... you're moved to comment based on what is posted on the KP board? There is a higher level of clientele here ...
