Here's a look at the Owens.Cath. defense:

Winklepleck leads the defense,he had 14 INTS last season and 60 tackles.

Linebacker Grant had 106 tackles,while linebacker Hall had 40 and 300-pound defensive tackle Bell had 47 tackles.

This team is loaded with talent, so don't think that Mercer Co. will run away with it. Mercer will have their hands full with this team, I look for a close game,but I think Mercer will prevail and move on to State. Good luck, guys.

They belong in 4A this year. They got quite a break.

Their enrollment is around 950 according to the KHSAA website, that would make them one of the largest 3A schools.

Mercer will prevail once again!

The reason I feel Mercer will win this game:

Defense! Their Defense is overshadowed by their O, but they are good! Great Defensive Team Speed! Secondary should fair well vs. Pass.

No one will challenge Mercer this season. They are a lock to win 2A this year. This is their year.

Your right...Mercer's defense is pretty dang good. It will be interesting to see what the Aces' offensive game plan will be. I go back to last year when they knocked of Fort Campbell with Micah Johnson and company. While I understand this is a new year and Catholic's team is different than last year's, one thing is consistant and that is they will not be intimidated by Mercer. They will deliver their best shot. This Friday we will find out if it is good enough.:walk:

Shhhhh, the defense is a secret.

Mercer Co will win this one big. They have a good offense and they will run the ball, and run the ball more. Then there defense will step up to play. I know OC will come to play but i dont think they have the horses to play against a 5a school. Good Luck to both.
