There is zero doubt in my mind Roller could be a FCS or low level FBS player at the minimum.

Lanter I am not sure I could see at the FBS level simply because he is 100% a pocket passer and there simply aren't a ton of teams looking for that.

 

I could see him at the FCS level though. Very good accuracy and footwork.

 

Colwick is another guy to keep an eye on. He doesnt have the D1 size, but IMHO he was the second best all-around player Boyle had behind Reese. He's the type of kid you may see an in-state FCS school take a shot on at the end of the recruiting period and he pay off.

 

Colwick has been on a couple visits to EKU per his twitter feed. I could see them making a late offer if some other higher priority recruits choose other programs.

I see Colwick as a NAIA receiver. Very good player though. Exciting to see how 4A shakes out. I am going to try and make it to as many 4A spring games as possible.

I look for Colwick to have a breakout year.

Don’t be surprised if you see Hopkinsville make a run this year. They return the majority of their core and SR QB J. Bland seems to have made a complete recovery. 2021 6’5 WR Jesse is already getting looks from Alabama. The Tigers could be the sleeper team in 4A.

Little side note on Jay Bland and Wr Jesse they are playing on a 7on 7 team called BAGOS made up from players from Christian, Trigg, Logan, Murray and Fulton county. They participated

couple of weeks ago in Atlanta in the biggest 7 on 7 tournament in the south with over 50 teams across the country sponsored by Battle. Anyways this team from WKY went 4-1 beating team from Texas, Michigan, Louisiana And beat an All Star team from Atlanta that was national ranked. BAGOS was the talk of the tournament for a bit how they came out of nowhere and were competing with teams that have been established for years on this circuit.

Yeah, I'd say don't sleep on Hoptown.

 

They lost their QB and backup midseason last year. They had to move a wideout to QB and lost their entire vertical threat and became one dimensional. They played a very tough schedule and return their whole team, and add their QB back under center. And Craig Clayton is their coach, I expect a big jump from them.
