March 19, 20197 yr With everyone win in the tournament, don't schools, conferences, and potentially coaches (depending on their contracts) get money? How does that work with the play-in games? Do those count as tournament wins? Each game does matter as far as money winnings go for each team. For the top tier programs it probably doesn't matter much, but for the small teams it does impact their budgets. That's why I think there should be a play-in game for EACH region. You take it to 72 teams. And IMO the play-ins should be the lowest rated teams. That way 4 of the teams are guaranteed 2 shares of NCAAT money. The 4 losers get their 1 share, but at least had a chance to get an NCAAT experience against a somewhat even opponent.

I just always felt like it felt like a dirty move to make two 16 seeds play in a play-in game but if they are getting more money because they have the chance to play in two tourney games then that is a nice perk for the school.
March 19, 20197 yr I mean let's just make it a 347 team tournament so every team can get a check. It already is. Conference tournaments.
