CCH vs. Beechwood is probably the best Thursday night game, as it could be a potential matchup for a regional championship since they’ll have to end up on opposite sides. Not sure any other district could honestly say that.

 

That said, Highlands Vs. Newport May have the most entertaining player matchups.

All district champs and runner-ups will be on opposite sides, so theoretically Cooper could face Conner in the finals, Highlands could face Newport in the finals, and while highly unlikely St. Henry could face Dixie in the finals.

I sorta think that the Newport/Highlands scenario, and Cooper/Conner are just as likely as the CovCath/Beechwood possibility.

 

Truly though I'm ultimately feeling CovCath/Cooper in the finals. Many teams have shown good strength this season, but it's hard not to think that the big boys will come to play and show who's really boss.

Perry County Central vs Hazard should be a good one in the 54th. Two schools located just miles from one another, huge rivalry, and their talent is about even. PCC has won both games this season but only narrowly, by 5 points and 2.

Respectfully, I disagree. I think it’s Cooper and CovCaths to lose. If their is a dark horse, it is Beechwood, and a darker dark horse is maybe Highlands, if they have an incredible run and get the right draw.
