What would Brady's QBR be if he threw a TD pass at the goal line instead of handing it off to Michel. That is one problem with QBR IMO. If you throw a TD pass from the 1 yard line, it really helps your QBR when the team could most likely score either by running or throwing. He did complete 21-35 passes for 262 yards. 60% is not bad and that is not a horrible "yards per attempt" either. The pick also killed his QBR...and while not a good throw, it was a tipped ball...lots of luck involved on whether a tipped ball is picked.

I am NOT saying Brady played a great game for him by any means. I think he would tell you he played a sub-par game. I will say that he did not play a horrible game IMO.

I do not get the entire formula, but QBR is a little more involved than the traditional QB Rating. Brady wasn’t very good on third down, which is factored.

I’m more with your line of thinking in that I thought he was solid. Not great, but not horrific.

So that means they beat every playoff team on their schedule...obviously including the three teams they played in the playoffs...just a weird stat...

How do you beat KC twice (including once in Arrowhead), the Bears at Soldier field, and the Chargers like a tied up goat...and lose to the Dolphins, Jaguars (by 11), Titans (by 24!), and Lions (by 16!)? The NFL is definitely a week to week league...

Same way UK gets demolished by Duke and loses to Seton Hall. Get better as the season progresses and peak for the tourney.

Ratings are only going to get worse.

I'd imagine it wouldn't have been as low if it was the Saints vs. Chiefs.

Absolutely not. Didn't help either that the LA Rams are one of the least popular teams in the NFL.

JMO, but Saints/Pats would've been the highest rated...Two weeks of pumping up Brady vs. Brees by the media. Would've been huge.

This. Rams/Pats just wasn’t a sexy matchup, or one that the masses cared about. Ratings are reflective of the matchup, not the state of the game.

The headlines I am seeing are saying that Gurley wasn't injured, just under utilized. What is the story here? Why did he barely touch the ball, 11 touches for 34 yards? CJ Anderson had 9 touches for 34 yards. They say it wasn't due to injury or by game plan but that they didn't have many opportunities with the ball.

I don't believe that. Gurley is one of the best backs in the NFL. I think I heard that he led the league with touches over the last two years. It doesn't seem credible to me that the Rams would give a RB who was out of the league the first 3 months of the season an equal number of touches unless SOMETHING was up with Gurley!

Has anybody given a credible explanation yet?
