Hardin County Preps Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Has anyone seen all 3 teams play that could give some unbiased perspective on which one of these 3 teams stands out as being the stronger program?
Hardin County Preps Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 I have noticed that John Hardin doesn’t get much love on here!
The Professor Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 With a healthy Morino for Scott County I think they’re clearly the best. Right now without him maybe not so much but still probably at the top.
PurplePride92 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 John Hardin is ranked #4 in the most recent BGP Top 20 Rankings. That ain’t love?

Hardin County Preps Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) Nope, all threads are about Scott County and Trinity. Edited January 20, 2019 by True blue (and gold) Rule 13
sweet16 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Nope, all threads are about Scott County and Trinity Then start some up. They are respected on here. They are ranked #4 and very well could be #3 this week.
HoopJunkie Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 John Hardin isn’t close to Trinity or Scott Co. Look at the 3 schedules. John Hardin’s only good win is Larue Co. And is that really that good of a good win?

HoopJunkie Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 LaRue is a good win. They have a solid team. I’m not saying they aren’t “solid”. But what other good win does John hardin have? They’re schedule has been light. Pretty sure their coach would admit that. Maybe they lightened it on purpose. They lost some good players last year. Coaches tend to adjust the schedule for the type of team they think they’re going to have. That being said, I think they’ll easily win the 5th. Based on the draw, they could make a run in Lexington.
silo11 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) Personally I think John Hardin is a good team, but Scott Co. and Trinity are very good teams. Scott Co with Moreno is an elite team. The Bulldogs deserve their #4 ranking, but reality is their gaudy record is a product of a weak schedule and just squeaking by with those wins. Today's win vs Knox Central was a quality win though. They should be congratulated on winning the 2A Classic. Edited January 21, 2019 by theguru
bamaboy89 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 If I do deductive reasoning then is it safe to say that the state overall is down. I mean if JH deserves the number 4 ranking but they’re not considered very good, then the state must be down. I personally believe JH is better than most think. They haven’t come close to playing their best basketball. I don’t know if that puts them on Scott county or Trinity’s level though.

And is that really that good of a good win? Another great win was over Scott in the 2A, which John Hardin should have lost to the better 10th region powerhouse. But Scott goes cold on shooting in the 4th qtr. I thought that game was John Hardins toughest all year to date... Then Larue Co.
