December 30, 20187 yr FootballScoop Staff @FootballScoop Source: Mark Richt has resigned at Miami He is retiring.
December 30, 20187 yr Author ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo Richt's Miami teams were 10-1 in September in his 3 seasons at the helm. They were 16-12 after, including 1-3 in December and January.
December 30, 20187 yr Wow...didn't see this coming. Richt is a good coach and probably a better man. Hope he has a great retirement, hopefully he'll do some TV work.
December 30, 20187 yr No surprise honestly. Their recruiting class this year completely fell apart and they are just a bad team.
December 30, 20187 yr This brings up the question though, how good of a job is Miami? It’s in arguably the best recruiting area in the country. It’s also in South Florida.
December 30, 20187 yr It’s in arguably the best recruiting area in the country. It’s also in South Florida. If you could only play with players within a 100 mile radius of your school Miami would win the National Title every year. But they’ve made a series of either bad coaching hires or retreads.
December 30, 20187 yr Lane Kiffen and Butch Davis are within a short driving distance of Coral Gables. Hell, Davis is on the other side of town.
December 30, 20187 yr If they get the right donor, it could change the landscape in CFB. Fixed that for you.
December 30, 20187 yr Candidates that I’ve seen listed: - Lane Kiffin - Butch Davis - Mark Stoops - Rex Ryan (seriously)
