HammerTime Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 FootballScoop Staff @FootballScoop Source: Mark Richt has resigned at Miami He is retiring.
HammerTime Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo Richt's Miami teams were 10-1 in September in his 3 seasons at the helm. They were 16-12 after, including 1-3 in December and January.
Jumper_Dad Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Wow...didn't see this coming. Richt is a good coach and probably a better man. Hope he has a great retirement, hopefully he'll do some TV work.
Jumper_Dad Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I wonder who is on top of their wish list to replace him?
GrantNKY Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 No surprise honestly. Their recruiting class this year completely fell apart and they are just a bad team.
GrantNKY Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 This brings up the question though, how good of a job is Miami?
swamprat Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Seems odd. Didn't Richt just get the IPF he wanted?
TheDeuce Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 This brings up the question though, how good of a job is Miami? It’s in arguably the best recruiting area in the country. It’s also in South Florida.
GrantNKY Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 It’s in arguably the best recruiting area in the country. It’s also in South Florida. If you could only play with players within a 100 mile radius of your school Miami would win the National Title every year. But they’ve made a series of either bad coaching hires or retreads.
swamprat Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Lane Kiffen and Butch Davis are within a short driving distance of Coral Gables. Hell, Davis is on the other side of town.
John Anthony Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 If they hire the right person, it could change the landscape in CFB.
swamprat Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 If they get the right donor, it could change the landscape in CFB. Fixed that for you.
GrantNKY Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Candidates that I’ve seen listed: - Lane Kiffin - Butch Davis - Mark Stoops - Rex Ryan (seriously)
