TheDeuce Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Being reported by the AP and other outlets. The beginning of his next chapter, it would appear.
GrantNKY Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Technically co-teach the class. Urbans wife Shelley has been teaching some nursing classes at OSU for a few years now.
GrantNKY Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I know the talk about Urban coming back to coach will continue to be talked about for a while. He may very well coach again someday, but as of right now I would venture to say Gene Smith and Ohio State are grooming Urban to be the next athletic director at OSU.
UKMustangFan Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I swear the jokes just write themselves. :lol2:
HammerTime Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I swear the jokes just write themselves. :lol2: It's too easy. College football coaches would probably be one of the last groups of people I would go to for character or moral advice.

He may very well coach again someday, but as of right now I would venture to say Gene Smith and Ohio State are grooming Urban to be the next athletic director at OSU. I think it would take the perfect job for him to coach again. I don’t know what that perfect job would be, though.
Randy Parker Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I swear the jokes just write themselves. :lol2: It's too easy. College football coaches would probably be one of the last groups of people I would go to for character or moral advice. Exactly.
GrantNKY Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I don’t know if anyone else saw it, but Mike Leach (who is very good friends with Urban) sarcastically invited him to come teach a class at Washington State next year. Now that might be worth the money to just take that one course.
HammerTime Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Leadership yes, character no. I’d argue those go hand in hand.
NKYknowitall Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I swear the jokes just write themselves. :lol2: The irony lol it’s hilarious.
Bengal Maniac Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I’d argue those go hand in hand. I would say great leaders have good character. But people with bad character can lead. Leadership comes in many forms.
HammerTime Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I would say great leaders have good character. But people with bad character can lead. Leadership comes in many forms. Sure but that doesn’t mean they should be teaching it. Plenty of terrible organization have leaders that you wouldn’t watching teaching young kids.
Oldercoach Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 It's too easy. College football coaches would probably be one of the last groups of people I would go to for character or moral advice. Ever read Pitino's "Success is a choice".
sweet16 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 It should be called Leadership without Character.
