November 19, 20187 yr UCF is 7th in offensive efficiency with a 77.2 rating. Alabama(99.6) Oklahoma(99.6) Georgia(90.5) Wash. St.(83.5) West Virginia(82.2) and Clemson(79.6) are ahead of them. UCF is 52nd in defensive efficiency and 29th in Special Teams efficiency. UCF is 18th in overall efficiency this season. Top 4 in overall efficiency are Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Michigan with Oklahoma, West Virginia and Notre Dame at 5, 6 and 7th...before anyone ask Ohio State is 13th in total effieciency. Team efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories. Efficiencies update daily during the season. 18th....That sounds about right for where UCF should be.
November 19, 20187 yr UCF played Pitt before ND played Pitt. Pitt/ND was a big game. Not a big game at all to ND. Maybe the 8th or 9th biggest on their schedule. Also, Notre Dame beat Navy by 22, while UCF beat them by 11. In addition to that, UCF beat Memphis by 1, while Missouri beat Memphis by 32. By that logic, we can definitively say that Missouri is a far superior team to UCF.
November 19, 20187 yr Author 13th seems a bit high for Ohio State. Offense 13th Special teams 10th Defense 46th.

November 19, 20187 yr UCF played Pitt before ND played Pitt. Pitt/ND was a big game. Um no at that time that was not a big game. Especially since UCF did just blow them out. Notre Dame had just won a big game the week before the played Pitt. Pitt was not looked at all like as big of a game as it was for UCF.
