November 14, 20187 yr I am really surprised that Kentucky did not drop further. I waslooking for about 20th to 22nd.
November 14, 20187 yr Looks like @UKMustangFan nailed it in the prediction thread about tonight. Top 10 unchanged.
November 14, 20187 yr Did not realize that since this format has been in place the lowest ranked team to make the final 4 was #9 Michigan State in 2015.
November 14, 20187 yr Author It’s ok to make bold predictions as long as you don’t run from them when you’re wrong. Bring on the heat. :lol2:
November 14, 20187 yr Author @CollegefootballGuy69 why did you dislike my post? Which one of your teams got screwed this week? UCF, Penn State, Washington all moved up.
November 14, 20187 yr Author I’ll preface this by saying I don’t really have an issue with the rankings this week. No teams lost so it makes sense in theory to keep the rankings the same. But when asked why OSU was still at 10 he answered by saying, “they’re not as sharp as they were in the middle of the season.” What the hell is he talking about? What about the middle of OSU’s season is he talking about? Was it the ugly 1 point win over Penn State, the very not sharp wins over Indiana and Minnesota, or how about that loss to Purdue? The team in those 4 games was sharper than the team that just won by 20 on the road against a team they had ranked in the top 25 last week? When they make comments like this it really makes me question if these guys are really watching the games.
November 14, 20187 yr Author I honestly believe West Virginia is better than Oklahoma. Offenses are pretty close but WVU at least has a pulse on defense. Oklahoma is like playing against air. Outside of Ohio State/ Michigan, that matchup on Black Friday in Morgantown is the game I’m most excited about down the stretch.
November 14, 20187 yr Looking at 538 right now if Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio St, and Wash State all won out, the % of liklihood they would make the playoffs is... Alabama >99% Clemson >99% Notre Dame 64% Oklahoma 55% Ohio State 70% Washington State 14% If Michigan were to win out with the other schools they only have a 30% chance of making the playoffs and Oklahoma jumps to 72%. 2018 College Football Predictions | FiveThirtyEight

Also if you replace Michigan with Ohio State they have a 48% chance to make the playoffs.
November 14, 20187 yr Yeah you messed something up. Also if you replace Michigan with Ohio State they have a 48% chance to make the playoffs. I literally just did it again and the numbers changed a percent or two on a couple of schools. 538 is constantly updating their predictions...so who knows.
November 14, 20187 yr It is almost time to care about these rankings. I am amazed every year at the people who go crazy the first time the rankings come out. Once you get down to the last game or two of the year, then pay attention and get upset if you think something is out of line. It all works its way out as the season moves on.
