After a couple times of having to come home and stay in the shower for a couple hours after voting, I quit doing that. I won't cast a vote in a race if I have to hold my nose while doing so...

November 7, 200619 yr I kept a list of the attacking political ads this year. So today I voted for their opposition down the line. If both in the race did it, I skiped the race... So are you saying you didn't vote for anyone?:confused:
November 7, 200619 yr Without a doubt. I firmly believe that if you don't vote then you should forfeit all right to complain about politicians and politics. I agree with this wholeheartedly and actually got into an argument at the grocery store with the man infront of me in line over this during the presidential election. He spouted off about how he hated politics and everything that was wrong with the world. When I asked him if he had voted on election day he said no but he had an opinion about everything political. I told him since he didn't vote then he doesn't get a voice in complaining about politics and that his words mean nothing. To say the least he didn't like it and I left feeling like a proud American.:thumb:
November 7, 200619 yr Was standing in line at 6:00 this morning to vote. Was in and out in about 6 minutes:thumb: :thumb: I have never missed my opportunity to vote and can't understand those who don't vote. :irked: I normally vote. I know nothing about anybody running for anything and I've been turned off so bad by the commercials and people hanging stuff on my door that I am not voting today. Why vote when you don't know anything about the candidates?
November 7, 200619 yr Voted for 4 dems myself today - Pike Co. Judge-Executive, 94th Dist House, and two in local nonpartisan races. Never voted for 4 dems in any previous decade.

November 7, 200619 yr I waited in line for 40 minutes to vote. This is the first time I've ever waited that long. I waited about the same amount of time and it is the shortest I have ever waited. At the precinct I vote at, it is an absolute joke how long the lines are and how no additional voting booths are implemented.
