Beechwood/NCC Predictions

Featured Replies

I'm facing a dilemma regarding who to pull for in this game. I actually prefer Beechwood, because of their fans and defenders here on BGP. But as an LCA supporter, I want another crack at NCC.

Be careful what you wish for either way.

I think NCC senior dominated lines with nice size and quickness will make for a tough match-up for LCA but on the other hand if I were LCA I wouldn't want a Beechwood team that is bent on revenge for being bounced last year because they usually get it.

I will, however say, whoever wins this game will play at the Pizza Palace on Dec 1st.

What else is new?

I watched the Holy Cross vs NewCath game and I it is nearly impossible to separate Beechwood and NewCath based on that game. However, Beechwood did totally dominate NewCath during the second half of their game and they are playing at Beechwood again. Certainly there is no comparison between the quarterbacks and Elliott has his completion percentage on the rise.

If I was a NewCath fan I would be bothered by the numer of plays on which NewCath losses yardage. Holy Cross must have stopped them for a loss a half dozen times. Vicars did his damage on several long runs where he went to the outside when HC was jamming the middle. There was no one there to stop those runs and Vicars is an extremely intelligent runner in the open field.

Whether that call will fool Beechwood will be key on Friday because I don't think NewCath can run up the middle with consistency and Scneider likes to do just that. I like Beechwood to defend the home turf in a close one.

Well I have seen Beechwood twice now, and NCC once. I know from the games I saw it looked to me like NCC had the better talent and better team, and I didn't even see last weeks game when NCC drilled HC. I think the coaching edge does however go to Beechwood, because the coaches for Beechwood have made great adjustments in a lot of games this year that has really helped them out.

However I think NCC will get them in this rematch, because with Beechwood not having their runningback, I think it would really hurt them alot in this game. Also I just think NCC is the better team.

NCC 24

Beechwood 13

Na, Mex is a good guy, Well, for someone from NCC ;), and has respect for Beechwood.

Gracias, I really enjoyed working with you a couple of years ago. If you are still in the biz and need someone next year, let me know.

Beechwood can not replace Tommy but did you all read the paper. His replacement rushed for 203 yds, not bad for a backup. I will gladly take this spread!

Beechwood wins again!

NC 21

Beechwood 14

Beechwood 24-21.

Im sorry but there is a big difference in the NCC defense and the Dayton defense...

Really, why do you think that? No kidding!! However, for a soph who has never started and not use to carrying the ball as much as he did, Nikko did a great job. He got his feet wet and built his confidence level up.

You obviously can not compare NCC/Dayton's D, apples and oranges.

Beechwood will be fine, if Teipel can't do it then Amelung will. If all else fails, last time I checked Beechwood has a pretty good QB who can throw and run w/a trio of recievers.

I will say this will be a great game and it won't be an NCC win by 11pts as you predicted.

By the way, what team do you cheer for, I know it is never Beechwood?

You offer a sensible warning. However, last year the reigning 1A champions came down to our house, and that ended rather well: they were taken apart 43-13.
