CovCath (8-0) survived a game Highlands squad to take the reigns of District 5. They can now officially sew up the 1 seed with a win over Dixie Heights (0-8), a team that hasn't beaten them since 2007. It's NKY's Battle of the Colonels. Pick a side… Blue or Red?

I think Eddie will light a fire into his boys this week and Dixie will be in for a long night.

Will CovCath have home field throughout the playoffs?

Don't think so.

Mid 2nd quarter running clock.

With a victory over Dixie, they are assured round 1 and 2 at home. 3rd round will be away if the one seed in the other district wins round 2 ,at CCH if they lose. Game will most likely be HHS vs Anderson. 4th round will be away again this year due to cross-bracketing.

They played 4th round down in Bowling Green area last year, so I would think so.

Post #7 in this thread lays out the scenarios. CovCath is only guaranteed the first two games of the playoffs at home. The third game may or may not be at home. The fourth round game is definitely on the road. The championship (if they were to make it that far) would be at UK in Lexington.

So if Anderson Co and Highlands meet in the second round, and if Anderson Co wins, Cov Cath would have to travel to Anderson Co for round 3?

Let's stick to discussion of this game and keep playoff scenario discussion to other threads.

That graphic makes it look like the civil war. Blue to the north grey to the south. They should rename this rivalry the “Gettysburg Bowl” or something. I guess Dixie wouldn’t want to be associated with the confederacy though. Either way I think the outcome will be the same as the Civil War, Blue North Colonels big.

Get up 21 and play Tyler at QB. For experience and protect Caleb. Same for most important 1s if you can. Just a W.
