How stacked is the 2023 basketball class in NKY?

Featured Replies

Have seen more than a few of these kids play and the future looks bright in NKY for basketball in the coming years. Thoughts?

Welcome aboard @nkyguy

Who are your top five from that class?

Full disclosure, I haven't seen everyone play, but I will give it a shot.

In no particular order.

Jake Meyer (Woodland)

Will Herald (Highlands)

Daniel Campbell (Conner)

Aden Hamilton (Campbell County)

Sam Robinson (Highlands)

I also hear great things about Carter Krohman (SK), Landon Hamilton (Conner), Max White (Camp Ernst, Last Year), Matt Dreas (St. Cecelia).

I am sure I am missing a couple, feel free to put some more up.

I believe Carter Krohman is class of 2024.

Is Jake Meyer, Hunter Meyer’s brother?

Yes he is. Jake left Turkey Foot and is now at Woodland.

I am pretty sure Carter is an 8th grader, but I could be wrong.

Preston Perkins, Javier Ward (Holmes) look pretty good too. I agree we should see a few more trophies in NKY over the next couple years.

Extremely Deep Class-

My 5 no particular order-

Carter Krohman

Ayden Hamilton

Jake Meyer

Landen Hamilton

Cameron Boyd

Others:

Daniel Campbell

Will Herald

Brayden Howell

I heard Carter Krohman started on the SK Freshman team towards the end of the season.

I’m not sure if he was starting but he played significant minutes...

I would expect for him to be on JV Roster this year..

Position and school for Boyd and Howell?

Boyd- Beechwood

Howell- Woodland

Both play multiple positions (1,2&3)

Got to see Will Herald play once last year. Sees the floor well, good instincts and can light it up.

Grant County has two very good 8th graders. Dylan Hammonds and Mason Guffey. They both played Freshman and JV last year as 7th graders. Both about 6'1 and both play multiple positions.
