Litkenhous Ratings

Covington Catholic tops Litkenhous Ratings

Top 10:

1. Covington Catholic

2. Scott County

3. Mayfield

4. Highlands

5. Frederick Douglass

6. Male

7. South Warren

8. Belfry

9. Christian Academy Louisville

10. Paducah Tilghman

Male dropped to #6 after not beating Western by large enough margin, and Trinity dropped because Male is only opponent counted, so like a chain reaction.

Fulton County Pilots come in at #7 in 1A.

Check out link to see other teams ratings.

Male drops for only hanging 43 in a shutout of Western and so does Trinity. Gotta love ratings more than rankings. Computers always get it right.

For whatever reason the Lit Rating Magic Number ALWAYS gives bias towards Paducah Tilghman

It's an odd thing i have noticed over the past five or six years.

Even when Tilghman is non-competitive it always seems to rate them about 4-5 spots higher than it should.

The Magic Number ratings are a joke.

I know they get pretty good at the end but again they are a joke now and these places have no business releasing this garbage.

These ratings are heavily weighted on margin of victory

/loss against rating of teams on schedule, so not blowing out weaker teams hurts you. I’ll have to look Western up, but I’m sure their rating increased. Should average out by later in season. Trinity will probably take another hit by not running up the score on Jeffersontown this Friday. That’s a flaw in this system.

Let's get that Mayfield vs. Male game scheduled. :lol2:

Western went from 59 to 66 rating after playing Male.

I'm hoping I missed the sarcasm here, but the Lit Ratings are a COMPUTER algorithm and NOT human based.

BG is out of the Top Twenty?

You did. That’s what I said

BG is out of the Top Twenty?

They are #21.

Campbellsville likes the #4 rating in Class A...

P.S. I’ll take Male...

They are #21.

I see a lot of top twenty that BG would handle.

Yet again, the rankings that say, "we know a lot more after the season is over". Yea, we all know more when the season is over.

I try not to even look at half of these polls as their is only one ranking that matters, and that is who hoists that trophy after that last game.

Their is no discussion about who that is-----
