Who wins this saturday morning matchup? Beechwood comes in at 2-2 on the season. Covington Holy Cross is winless on the season

Yikes

This game will be over early. Beechies name the score.

This will get ugly early, look for a running clock sometime early in the second quarter

Running clock in the first quarter

This game is all about clock management.

Meaning, all BW has to do is remember to set their alarm clock as game is Saturday morning. And I have a feeling they are going to wake up that morning very grumpy!

Should have an opportunity to rest their starters early, need the break after last week.

They will beat this Covington team. Beechwood by a running clock.

And before Simon Kenton the next week. This game is nicely placed on Beechwood's schedule.

Beechwood by a bunch.

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are!

Off topic...Is Covington Holy Cross the most out of nowhere state champion in recent memory?

Just evidence that there are too many classes in KY.

Weren't most of their key guys on that championship team from across the river? I am just asking.

You may be right but there were plenty of good programs in 2A at the time. Mayfield was still 1A, Danville was down, LCA, CAL, and DeSales were all good but were not yet the elite programs they would become.

Covington Holy Cross beat their nemesis Newport Central Catholic to win their region and a very good Glasgow team for the title, perhaps the best team in Scotties’ history.
