Foods that I just don't understand

Featured Replies

Not quite gross, but not good. Scrapple is much better.

Absolutely. I smuggle some scrapple back every time I visit my hometown. Goetta is just blah.

I don't understand turnips...they mumble too much.

Chittlins or Rocky Mountain Oysters. What could make someone not facing starvation want to eat either of those is beyond me.

My granddad always said mountain oysters will grow hair on your chest. That was funny because he didn’t have a hair on his legs, chest or head, lol.

Tea is gross. Sweet, unsweet, green, Earl Grey, whatever. I remember as a kid when I would eat at other folks’ place on occasion, and some of them it would be tea as the only option. No matter how politely I asked, they always looked at me like I had a single eye in the center of my head when I said I preferred water.

The worst school lunch ever was, I think, on Wednesdays. Dry sausage patty, dry cornbread, awful soup beans, and this abomination called macaroni and tomatoes. Ugh. I always took my lunch that day.

I can only tolerate instant tea. I cannot do anything brewed. Just nasty.
