Before this gets off track, the OSU fans I know would accept and move on from a game suspension of any length.

Only a suspension, not termination?

My quote was directed at you hoping he only gets "time served." If they report a list of things he did wrong (which they'll never do), but they still keep him, you're okay with that, by your own admission. Seems pretty simply as to why I said it.

If Urban serves any suspension or they view it as time served, then it’s simply because he lied at Big 10 media days something I believe taking 3 weeks off camp is more than adequate punishment for. I didn’t think that was the issue we were discussing so correct me if I’m wrong. If he failed to act properly or there is anything that appears like a cover up whether it be systematic or confined to the football offices I believe he will be fired. With regards to that issue it’s pretty black and white. He either did his job or didn’t.

Time served or at worst one game. While on suspension, Meyer has earned about $400,000 from OSU.

Of course we do not know much of what has occurred. It has all been speculative with one side saying Meyer should have done X, Y, and Z, and the other side discrediting the messenger(s) and saying Meyer fulfilled his duties.

That’s why it was the committes job to decipher what actually happened.

Yep.

Keeping a guy on staff that he knows beats his wife would fall into "failed to act properly," IMO. Having said that, I don't think he SHOULD be fired for it necessarily, but would certainly understand if he got canned for it.

He won't be fired or that would have already happened, and if he's suspended, it will be less than three games. The "time served" scenario is what I see coming.

You’re speaking as if you know what happened.

If he did his job reporting the incident he should not be fired unless the board turns over evidence we don’t know of.

As for the suspension, I guess it’s justified for keeping Smith, a liability, around so long. He’s gone now, guess everyone moves on.

How so?

Sometimes doing the minimum isn't good enough especially when morality comes in to play. You guys are obviously fine supporting a guy like that, that's very clear.

You have your narrative you’re gonna follow and all we have are facts. If the facts state he did his job and reported it correctly, then there is little the average fan can do. Meyer or not OSU is still going to be OSU, which equals really good and really hated. We understand what comes with being an OSU fan.

Like I said doing the minimum isn't always good enough. So you are agreeing with me?

What do you define as the minimum? Reporting the news to his boss which lead to a police collaboration, not sure I call that minimum.

If I’m getting off track mods, I apologize, I’m simply answering responses. I have shared my feelings on the punishment/potential suspension.

Stick to discussing Meyer's potential punishment.

How so?

Your first sentence.

Obviously fine supporting a guy that we still have no idea what actually happened. Yeah us Ohio State fans are just horrible people for believing our coach is innocent until proven guilty. Please.
