I thought JC was scrimmaging Huntington WV?

 

I was told it was Beechwood at Beechwood.

 

Can anyone confirm it?

JC's official athletics-centric website shows a football schedule listing a scrimmage for tonight vs. Huntington (WV) and a scrimmage at Beechwood on Friday.

Incorrect spelling

JC is scrimmaging Huntington High tonight at Eagle Field. Rescheduled from Saturday when Huntington had travel issues.

I disagree, I think there is going to be a period in this scrimmage (maybe half of a football game) where each teams goes nearly full out trying to find out what they are capable of against a quality opponent.

 

Beechwood always goes real game conditions on their second scrimmage. I expect it to be like a real game but they will probably go three quarters instead of four. Coach Rash likes a strong opponent to see how the guys perform when pushed hard and find out any changes that might be needed. I am excited to see Johnson Central and how the Tigers match up with them.

This should be a great scrimmage tonight. I can't remember being more pumped up about a scrimmage. It will be awesome to see how this Tigers team compares with one of the best teams in the state.

Always interested in the theory behind 2 scrimmages and no bye week v. 1 scrimmage and a bye week. I have always assumed that teams with difficult schedules preferred the bye week late in the year to rest up and prepare for the playoffs. On the flip side, teams that have some cupcakes (whether forced by district play or traditional rivalries OR by choice) don't mind not having a bye week as they use those weeks to rest players who are not likely to play a full game.

 

This rationale would certainly hold true for Beechwood based on their traditional district opponents. Not sure about JC.

Possibly, but the Cov Cath Ryle game counts so I would put that one above this scrimmage. Both are good matchups to see.
