August 11, 20188 yr Author They open at -6 vs VT. I’m almost certain both Miami and ND are favored in those games. I don’t think they lose to all 3 but I see Clemson and ND as losses and probably a fluke game thrown in there. I expect a win vs Miami and VT. There are just too many unknowns at this point. I think they are most vulnerable against VT. Miami will regress IMO and ND is a huge wildcard, still.
August 11, 20188 yr I feel very cautiously optimistic about UofL this year. Our offensive line will be better, backfield will be better, we have outstanding receivers, and we’ve been hearing about Puma for two years. Obviously replacing arguably the greatest player in school history is tough, but Bobby is still going to rack up yards and points. I’d be surprised if we didn’t have it going on offensively, at least against teams not named Alabama and Clemson. Defense is still a question mark. It literally can’t be worse. I think the ceiling is 10 wins(I said CIELING) and I think the basement is 6 wins. It’s sucks that Wake Forest and Boston college are going to be solid this year though. I’m banking on those games being wins.
August 11, 20188 yr I think UK can pull a 7-5 season with potential for 8-4. Anything more would be a pipe dream.
August 11, 20188 yr UK:6-6 Texas:10-2 Texas A&M:7-5 Michigan:10-2 Southern Illinois:7-5 I’m not a die hard fan of a couple of these but these are teams I’ll be watching this year pretty closely.

August 11, 20188 yr 7-5ish for Louisville and a bowl. Anything more would be a pleasant surprise. Anything less, Bobby's seat is significantly hotter next off-season. If Louisville even plays at league average as far as defense, 7-5 is perfectly reasonable. I think that’s possible. I don’t trust Van Gorder, but the Sirmon experiment was a dismal failure. I expect at least a slight defensive improvement and I’m looking to see Louisville’s offense demonstrate some high-level efficiency since it will lose that Lamar Jackson explosiveness.

August 11, 20188 yr I hope Centre makes the D3 playoffs. I'm a doubting Thomas on UK and UL. You read locally about how they will be improved but the national media do not hold them in high regard. I'd love to see them both get 8 wins, though.

August 14, 20188 yr Expecting 9 or 10 wins for ND, but still not sure about the level of QB play. Away to USC & VT is daunting. Home to Michigan, Stanford, & FSU look difficult, although FSU coming to South Bend in mid-November seems like good timing. Away to Northwestern could be tricky, though half the crowd will be Irish fans. My other team, Virginia Tech, probably in the same neighborhood, as far as wins. However, they have had A LOT of injuries, dismissals, and offseason issues on the defensive side of the ball. Should be a fun season to follow.
August 16, 20188 yr Michigan - 10-2. Have to win 2/3 between @ ND, @ MSU, @ OSU imo. PSU, Wiscy @ home will be tough. UK - 7-5 is pretty optimistic with the schedule they have but with their players, they should be able to get to that.
