Do the Reds give any thought to attempting to sign this guy to a 3 or 4 year contract?

 

Like everything, I guess it depends on the asking price. Curious if he'd want to stick around.

I am glad Harvey is pitching good, but I would trade him for prospects. I don’t think he will sign with the Reds in the offseason so get something for him.

Lorenzen could not get the job done tonight after Garrett takes a shin burner.

 

Faced 4 batters. Allowed a 2B. Got the next 2 guys (in a situation where doing so was more important than not allowing the 2 runs in) and then allowed a bases empty single with 2 outs. Not a great outing, but not turrrible.

Truly believe that Danny Darwin has had a big impact on the staff as a whole. When he visits the mound he seems like a guy who tells it like it is rather than trying to always coddle them.

 

It won't matter. He will test the free agent market no matter what.

Scooter just had an easy error. They need to bench him the rest of week to let the other players know this won’t be tolerated. This is the big leaugues, not grade school baseball. What a bonehead. He must be a mental midget.
