The Jefferson County 4A vs. State At Large 4A?

Russellville won Class A that year and FS lost to Conner in AAA.

 

Lot of those class A schools are no more. Most of these I know who they consolidated with to form new schools, but Lone Jack is one I hadn’t heard of. Anyone have any details about them?

I trusted Neerfan on the 84 statement. I played at Mercer in 82.... we were 3A. On this Litrating, Mercer is 1A. Had to be 83.

How did St. X get top billing when they and Trinity tied at 89.4, Trinity was 10-0 versus X being 8-2, and Trinity defeated X in the regular season game?

Southern being that good had to be during their early 80s stretch. I just picked the wrong year!

Kind of interesting how 35 years later some of those teams are still good and others are really, really bad.

Highlands had a 37 game winning streak going into the playoffs and lost in the first round to eventual champ Conner by a score of 13 - 6.

I haven't heard of Lone Jack either. I wonder if Lone Jack should be Lone Oak?
