May 14, 20188 yr After watching this 4 times (maybe 6, but I was drunk for at least 2 of them), I think they are spinning it to make Johnny and Daniel both be "good" guys. I think the "enemy" is John Kreese and Cobra Kai itself.
May 14, 20188 yr Author After watching this 4 times (maybe 6, but I was drunk for at least 2 of them), I think they are spinning it to make Johnny and Daniel both be "good" guys. I think the "enemy" is John Kreese and Cobra Kai itself. It's definitely trying to portray a much better image of Johnny. It will be interesting to see which direction they go with it in Season 2 with the way this one ended. I thought that it was really interesting how they did things with Johnny's son being instructed by Daniel and Johnny training the guy in his apartment building. The last two episodes of it were really good. I enjoyed all of it, but the episodes definitely improved as they went on.
May 14, 20188 yr Author Another direction that it may take may involve focusing more on Kreese's past. There's several directions it could go. Another thing that the show placed a strong emphasis on was mentality, particularly with Daniel and Johnny. It seemed that way the more I watched it.
May 18, 20188 yr Can't believe I watched the first two episodes last night. Also can't believe I want to keep on watching. I love how they incorporate the original into it. :lol2:

I love how they incorporate the original into it. :lol2: Believe me, I felt the same way. This has been an impressive show. Bringing in all that they did from the movie played a good role in making it better IMO.
May 18, 20188 yr We watched the first two episodes at lunch today and I'm definitely intrigued. I think it would be awesome if they made more things like this.
May 19, 20188 yr The actors playing Johnny and his son are both doing very well. Daniels wife and daughter too.
August 31, 20206 yr Netflix has now picked up Cobra Kai with the first two seasons streaming. I have watched the first season and first first three episodes of season two. Truly masterful. I can't get enough of it.
