Of course it was cheesy in ways, we are talking about the follow up to the original Karate Kid. I thought that it got better as it went on. One thing I really liked about it was the way it still held to points from the movie 34 years later, even if cheesy lol.

The cheesiness is what makes it great. Bananarama pancakes!!!! That has to be appreciated.

 

The cheesiness disappears ears with each episode though. The storyline is becoming better with each episode as well. It screws with your mind how they are letting it play out.

That's one of the things I've liked a lot about it. Those involved with making the show had to be big fans. You will be ready for Season 2 quickly with the way it ends.
