Brewers at Reds (4/30 - 5/2)

Recommended Posts

Men on first and third with one out and Votto strikes out looking. For the love of me, I do not understand his theory of taking those close pitches with two strikes and the game on the line. He acts like the umpires would never call him out.

This game lands on Votto. Swing the bat young man. This team requires you to knock in those runs for the Reds to have any kind of success.

Bad time for a strikeout, but we can also acknowledge that he was batting .400 with RISP before that at bat...right?

@jluckhaupt

Jake Arrieta has received 8.9 runs of support per 9 innings pitched this season.

Homer Bailey has received 6 total runs of support. Not per 9 innings, just total. (1.6 R/9 of support)

Homer made a mistake by resigning with the Reds. Might have been better for his career to go elsewhere.

With his ERA Bailey would need that run support to be .500. But hey, it was a great deal for the Reds when they signed him.

It was a fair deal at the time and saying other wise is just flat wrong. It hasn't worked out, but that changes nothing.

No mistake at all. Unless he's allergic to $100 million.

Sure he got paid, at a discount, but it would have been better for his career to go elsewhere.

Probably heading down to the game tonight with a voucher I received. Looking forward to spending a nice evening at the ballpark, even if the product on the field isn't good.

You should be able to move to the second row with the crowds they’re getting.
