April 17, 20188 yr Sigh....I feel ya Doug. Doug Gray @dougdirt24 now4 seconds ago Doug Gray Retweeted C. Trent Rosecrans Just my daily complaint that Alex Blandino isn't playing at third base. Again. Because, well, two guys the Reds signed as minor league free agents before spring training need to play instead. I don't understand this either. If you are not going to play him, then keep him in Louisville so he can get at bats.

While I don't think firing Price is going to be a magic cure-all for this team, it's things like this that make me wonder what the heck is going on. There's got to be a "plan", doesn't there?

Does he help this team win that much more than Pennington, no, probably not. But give him time. Sheesh!

April 18, 20188 yr Good outing by Romano but gave up a bomb. Of course, after scoring ten runs, Reds can't score tonight.

April 18, 20188 yr Reds go from ten runs to two hits. Votto strikes out looking. Model of consistency.
April 18, 20188 yr Crazy Billy Hamilton stat. He's actually doing what everyone has asked him to do forever....Walking and taking pitches. He's walked 8 times this year. If he were simply hitting .230 this season, which is .015 less than his career average, he'd have a .345 OBP. Hamilton was 0-4 with 3 strikeouts vs the Brewers tonight. He's now struck out 21 times in 64 plate appearances. Perhaps he's taking too many pitches. It doesn't seem like it matters what approach he takes, he just can't hit. Peraza has 1 walk in 64 plate appearances. He'll swing at anything thrown between the 2 fungo circles. So much speed between those 2, they just can't get on base to use it.
April 18, 20188 yr Author At least you are getting gold glove defense from Hamilton. Peraza (.233/.246/.317) has no business batting in the top half of the order or even playing at this point. Barnhart should be batting 2nd while Suarez is out.
April 18, 20188 yr Winker starts the game off by getting a 2B and advancing to third on an error and they get nothing. Gotta love Peraza and Duvall. Two clowns aren't even capable of hitting the ball to the right side of the field.
April 18, 20188 yr Hey Hamilton, instead of faking the bunt, how about using the element of surprise and in fact drag one down....oh yeah, I forgot you're not that good at bunting.

Two clowns aren't even capable of hitting the ball to the right side of the field. The fact that Price continues to hit Hamilton or Peraza at the top of the order and Duvall in the cleanup spot alone should be enough to get him fired. A lot of people say that no one could win with this lineup. That maybe true but he's not giving them the best chance to be competitive. That's not even taking into account him playing Blandino every 3 days or so. Personally, I don't think Blandino will ever be more than a utility player but this is a lost season. Give him a chance to play every day while Suarez is out to see if he can fill that utility role going forward.
