Colonels_Wear_Blue
It also seems that they want to see 3A do the same thing which IMO is an underlying effort to force the classification of all sports instead of crowning one true champion like everyone does except for football. Absolutely right.
Colonels_Wear_Blue
"Kentucky 2A Championships" isn't stepping on the toes of the KHSAA. So explain for me how calling yourself the Kentucky 2A Championship is not stepping on the KHSAA's toes, yet calling yourself the 2A Classic would be stepping on the All-A Classic's toes. Hoptown b-ball fan
The paranoia about the all a and the 2a pushing us to classifications is misplaced. These midseason tournaments ASSURE the big state tournament will survive. I'll put it this way. If the all a didn't exist I think there is a better chance that we would have classifications by now. This year only 1 All a region champ made the sweet 16. So that allowed 15 other teams to have a chance to play in a "state" tournament. By creating the 2a tourney you get even more teams who will be able to experience that type of success. I don't see the state wide sweet 16 ending any time soon and the 2a tourney only helps that. ChiefSittingBull
Because there is no point in arguing with you. You have shown your stance, nothing is changing that. Also, honestly your opinion is not important to me or the Kentucky 2A Championships.
ChickenWyngz
Are all of these games played in Owensboro or are the first couple of rounds played locally, like the All A?
ChiefSittingBull
The sectional rounds will be played locally, only 8 boys and 8 girls teams will make it to Owensboro.
theguru
The sectional rounds will be played locally, only 8 boys and 8 girls teams will make it to Owensboro. We are looking forward to having a lot of information about this event on BGP. Hopefully we will be able to coexist peacefully.
