@TylerDurden I come from the public school, I don't like the idea of a high school athletic program being treated like a business. "Superiority," "examining the product," "operation." It just seems to much like P&G and not like a high school basketball team.

 

But I am not a private school person.

 

Catholic Schools are a product, like it or not. If they can't convince people to come and pay for the services they offer, they don't exist. Public schools are completely different in that regard.

I am confused at this comment? The opening was official on 3/23 and it is now 4/11, that is 2.5 weeks and the school as on spring break for half that time. What is an appropriate time frame to hire someone? My guess is that Monday 3/26 the servers did not get shut down with incoming candidates. Maybe they want to get this one right?

From an outsider looking in and seeing the comments made about the previous coach. I figured NDA may have already started this process. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. I think they would want to get this hire correct and not jump the gun right away which is what they may or may not have done in the past.

 

My only question was that if Kes did apply for it then what other candidates could be out there that is taking it so long to announce a hire?

 

Time frame is irrelevant at this point. It's not like there a ton of open positions this year so you don't have the fear of missing out on someone.

However, the window on getting a coach in there to get them prepared to start offseason workouts is going to close soon.

I understand the want to get it right but its not like there is 25 coaches knocking down the door to coach there and that is not a knock on ND. I just know catholic schools don't pay much accept for CovCath. So yes another week passes by with not a coach IMO isn't good. Spring and summer workouts need to be schedule and lined out sooner than later, of courser just my opinion.
