October 23, 200619 yr "Smith finished with eight catches for 126 yards, but Johnson got the win along with his seven-catch, 61-yard performance. His only disappointment: a gag order from coach Marvin Lewis now prevents him from celebrating or gloating. "I was asked to change by the head man," he said, clearly disappointed. "So therefore, what you see from me is what he wants -- just make your plays and go back to the huddle. So that's what I'm going to do. Going to be no more talking, no nothing. Just go out there and play, go home. If that's what it takes to make us a better team, so be it." Asked if that means no more touchdown celebrations, Johnson nodded. "Very lame, isn't it?" he said." Even though I will miss his antics, if Marvin told him to stop then I stand behind it. What say you?
October 23, 200619 yr I don't see anything wrong with a little celebration. But on the other hand it will be nice to see Chad mature as a person and a player. In the end this will make him a better more focused player.
October 23, 200619 yr It's time to talk about Cincinnati's Chad Johnson again, and not because he finally produced a touchdown. Or proposed to another cheerleader. Or said something outrageous that writers can take to the next opponent. No, now it's time to talk about Cincinnati's Chad Johnson because he did something critically important in the Bengals' 17-14 defeat of Carolina on Sunday: He pumped life into their sagging offense, and maybe pumped life into their season, too. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9744524
October 23, 200619 yr ^When I saw that ball go in the air I was holding my breath. I really hope this gets Chad on track and he breaks out of his mini-slump.
October 23, 200619 yr Does he know something we dont because at this pace he may not get in the end zone again this year.
October 23, 200619 yr Does he know something we dont because at this pace he may not get in the end zone again this year. Look at it like this. Chad is on that Randy moss / Owens status... They are triple teaming him almost every down.
October 23, 200619 yr Look at it like this. Chad is on that Randy moss / Owens status... They are triple teaming him almost every down. No they aren't. Never actually. Plus had Randy or TO ever been asked to not celebrate or talk trash they would have argued pouted cried until they were traded.

October 23, 200619 yr I watched the game yesterday and I'm not sure I saw them triple team him once. Your correct. Hip-hop, Hardly ever do any of them get triple team(But it does happen occasionally). But they do often get double teamed.
October 23, 200619 yr Look at it like this. Chad is on that Randy moss / Owens status... They are triple teaming him almost every down. Every stud wideout has defenses slanted his way. They still make plays.

Guns, drugs, etc. = OK TD Celebrations = Not on my watch
October 23, 200619 yr Chad is open but Carson doesnt have time to get the ball downfield to him. TJ doesnt run alot patterns over ten yards so he will get alot of the balls.
