If you watch the seams on the ball, I believe they reversed direction when the Loyola player reached for it and it appeared his middle finger hit the ball. Tough break for the Vols, but they were outplayed most of the game.

They showed this view last and only one time, was hoping they would show it again so that I could be certain that I saw what I thought I saw. I'm not sure what else could cause the ball to start spinning back the opposite direction, unless there were some huge fans close by. If it happened the way I thought, someone else would have seen it, so if no one else brings it up, I may just have to get my eyes checked.

The view from behind shows the rotation changing after the Tennessee player swiped at it and it was out of reach of the other player.
