Bengals 17 Panthers 14

Williams is tough. He appeared to not get there on that TD though. That hit on Smith was viscious!!!! Right between the shoulder pads and helmet. He's a playmaker!!!

Williams is a baller.

He didn't. The ball did not cross the plane IMO

yep... when Sam came off the field so did Dexter, so that is a good indicator... is it any coincidence that the Panthers always had 60 yards rushing with Dexter in there? he is KEY...

That's kind of confusing. What do you mean by that?

I think he ment only had 60 yards.

Alrighty then. Now it makes sense. Yeah, these injuries have killed the Bengals. Its so refreshing to see some of those guys back in there.

I was eating at Grandma's and only saw it once (between bites). It looked like his knee was down before he extended the ball.

I saw a touchdown at first, and after the replays there just wasn't enough to overturn the call. If it had been ruled down at the one they wouldn't have overturned that call either.

A much needed win, I didn't feel good about things after the Bengals scored and the Panthers marched right down the field to score before half but things improved. I thought they were very conservative during the last seconds of the half, two timeouts and they let the clock run out?? Glad to see Atlanta coming to town after a win and not two straight losses, should be very interesting in the Jungle next week since Vick suddenly turned into a passer today.

Nice win by the Bengals.

Chatman did an excellent job on punt returners and for the first time of the year, I was expecting him to take on back.

Defense had a second good game.

After the horrendous first 4 drives, the offense did a good job grabbing hold of the game and controlling the field position battle and time battle as well as the scoreboard.

What a call on 4th and 1 and a nice, nice catch by Chad. He sure seems to be favoring his right arm on a couple of series and should be interesting since he sat out a practice this week. Was that the arm that was giving him problems this week?

I was shocked that Peppers was not a bigger part of the day. He was relatively quiet for Peppers.

His shoulder or arm problem does have me worried somewhat. Those injuries are hard to get to go away unless you have alot of time to rest because you always will be landing on it during the games. So I think this is just something he is going to have to play with all season, unless he wants to miss a few games. But I dont think we will see him do that....

Also the reason Peppers was quiet, because the best right tackle in football named Willie Anderson was on him and for the most part shut him down...

Did anyone else notice that Palmer was wearing a glove today on his throwing hand? I dont believe he ever wore a glove before even during really cold games, so does anyone know why he decided to go with the glove today?

Now to the game, it was an awesome win today. The team really seemed to step up in the second half realizing that there season probably was on the line, and they responded. I really like how they seemed to be attacking the opponent today.. I know people have talked about Palmer not being the same this year as last year, but you got to remember Palmer wasn't getting this much last year, he had all the time in the world and all his receievers were healthy last year. So of coarse he is not going to look the same this year, but he showed in the second half when he does get time, he still is the same awesome QB he showed us he was last year!!!

Next weeks game scares me a little bit against Atlanta, but I worry about that later, because still celebrating this big win right now!!!

WHO DEY!!!

I'm ecstatic to have been dead wrong on my prediction as well. As Greenie said this morning on ESPN Radio, everyone in America thought the Panthers would roll through Cincy (me included) and Cincy rises up and reminds folks why they were a trendy pick for the Super Bowl.

That 4th and 1 play was serious cajones by Marvin. That may be a season changing play...no exaggeration. If it wouldn't have worked it would have been 2nd guess season in River City. Great catch by Chad on that play.

Huge, huge win. Now, have to back it up vs. the Dirty Birds next week.

The Bengals were 3 1/2 point favorites. They didn't cover, but I doubted that they would even win.

I noticed it but I have no idea why he was wearing it.

I know. They (Panthers) were EVERYONE's upset special this weekend regardless of what channel you were listening to, watching, or what paper you were reading.

Of course, that goes back to my old saying, if EVERYONE is picking the same upset, go the other way. I let myself down with my prediction. :D
