This is a must win for the Juggs. If Mercer beats Spencer (and they should) and Lloyd beats Newport the Juggs will be the #2 seed and get Spencer at home again. If Lloyd loses and Mercer wins it is a 3-way tie for #2 and Lloyd gets the #4 spot and back to Mercer for round 1.

I think Newports running game wins it for them this week. Lloyd gave up 600 yards last week on 44 carries. Not saying Newports run game is like Mercer because its not but they have been pounding the rock all year and had lots of success last week. I think they hold the juggs to 1 td or less.

I'm feeling a low scoring game. If Newport pounds the ball, like they have the last few weeks look for a 14-0 game. If Newport tries to get fancy and throw then this could be a long night for the Wildcats. Lloyd has some weapons so controlling the clock would be a wise thing to do!!! Newport looks to regain some momentum going into the playoffs. Have had two good showings in row on "O". This game could give them a big boost if they put up 28 plus points and the "D" pitches another shutout.

Your correct as usual Sandman. In a three way tie it come down to the "formula". 1 point for each win of 4 teams you defeated not including the teams your tied with. Lloyd's non-district schedule has allways kicked their butts in tie breakers. Newport and Spencer both have more points than Lloyd.

 

I believe it breaks down to Mercer-20pts Spencer-16pts Newport-13pts and Lloyd-3pts. The only team Lloyd has beaten with any number of wins is Spencer and they cannot be used in the tie breaker.

If Newport wins your right it is a 3-way tie. Spencer beats Newport in the tie breaker because they lost to Spencer. Newport would be on the road to Spencer and Lloyd goes back to Mercer.

It is very simple my friend LMHSDaddy, we must win in order to stay home and host a playoff game. If we lose we travel to Mercer again and not a very good position to be in. This should be incentive enough for our young Jugg's knowing they need to win. This is not the same team we saw play the first game of the season and if someone is taking them lightly shame on them because they will sneak up on you.
