dalen, just having some fun. Read all the support going to the Rams on here. We are outnumbered...But its only Wednesday. We won a huge game last Friday and usually after a big win there could be a let-down, but this is Male-Manual and our kids will be ready.
I believe Redman has has been quoted in the past as saying that the game is more important to Manual players than to Male players. Something along the lines of 'Manual's Superbowl.'

Of course, when he wins a close one, it's always talk about 'what a great rivalry...'

Only in seasons when Manual needs the win to advance to the playoffs.

I would argue that this year's game is more important to Male for playoff positioning than for Manual. If Male wins, they get homefield through Round 3 and Manual gets St X in the first round. If Manual wins, Male loses playoff homefield to X and Manual gets Male in the first round.

Or, you could say that if Manual wins, they get homefield in the playoffs... that's a nice thing to be playing for. Especially in a year when your team was written off for dead.

Would they get homefield? Maybe in Round 1 (against Male), but the only way I could see them getting homefield in Round 2 would be if PRP beat St X.

Homefield in for any number of rounds would be pretty fine.

I only meant for round one.

I just hope its stopped raining by kickoff. This Friday nights have been the worse for football in a long time. I ususally wear shorts up til late October. I've worn them twice. If we win we are at home for three playoff games, like I said earlier the kids are ready.

I kinda think another Male Manual Mudbowl might be intriging.

Go Crimsons!

Beat Male!

I'll make my prediction--

"Ray Baer played football at Manual from 1921-22, become an All-American at Michigan, and coached the Crimsons to 5 straight wins over Male from 1938-1942. His winning percentage (.791) is the highest of any Manual coach."

The Street that runs in between Manual and the practice field is Ray Baer Blvd.

I grew up across the street from Ray Baer and we were great friends and neighbors and still friends with his wife. He was a great man and coach. He also was coach at St.X for a few years.

Here is a little trivia for ya IN 1946 he went over and took the coaching job at St X which was at the time remarkable considering he was Jewish, My father in law was playing at Flaget at the time and he said the St X players refered to him as "Father Baer".

According to my dad who played and graduated from X in 1943 - Ray Baer is the founder of the St.X fooball program. As far tonight I think it could be very close, Manual is catching Male at a good time.

The rain and field condition, along with Male's overtime slugfest with X last week, is coming close to setting up an upset. That doesn't mean it will happen, but this feels like an underdog's night. No Fangman doesn't hurt, either.

Manual- somewhere between 12 and 28

Male- somewhere between 17 and 35

GOOD LUCK to Both!

Here's to a good game and no injuries for either!
