Everything is new next year.. BUt i'm glad Sk is still coming out fighting. It's the best to keep building the program.

It's also hard to keep momentum when you can't tackle.

True, but some of that also goes back to coaching.

Are you positive that Scott doesn't want to play SK? I mean it was only about 3 or 4 years ago that they beat them.

I understand you thinking it is rediculous on KHSAA's part for not scheduling it, but do you have confirmation that Scott asked to not play them?

Coach Marksberry said that Scott didn't want to play them, and he was not happy about it.

I don't exact losses besides Elbert at QB, Bishop and Haught in the backfield, and a few from the OLine. The will return two big playmakers in Ponzer and Gibson so they should be fine a WR. I've never seen Bustle play QB but he passes the "look" test, DeWalt is a burner at RB and from what I've heard Miles Simpson is one heck of a prospect. Coach M has put a ton of effort into this program and I don't see that changing, he has built a solid base now it's time to expand that base.

Say what you want, but the loss of Elbert at QB and Bishop & Haught in the backfield will hurt more than you think. I believe us Conner fans said the same thing two years ago when we lost Trevor Stellman at quarterback. When you lose a quarterback that was a 3 yr. starter in a program, and as productive as he was, that is a huge blow to year team. No matter how good the guys are behind him.

I wouldn't up and give the QB position to the baby Bustle. After all if it weren't for Joey Bricking Gibson would have been Dixie's QB.

Come on , Stallion. This is NOT the place for that.

I'm guessing that you are referring to the BABY comment, this is just simply what the kid is called because his older brother is on the team currently and that is what they call the younger kid. No harm done by that.

Nobody said that losing these kids was going to be no big deal, he was just looking at the positive side of things, and they do have a lot of positives. The DeWalt(sp) kid could have really gotten a lot of carries this year but he was hurt and the team didn't have enough balls to go around. Bustle obviously won't step in and be as good as Elbert but if he works hard, and gets the job done then this team could be every bit as good as this years team... That said, they also could be like the teams of 3+ years ago.

Come on , Stallion. This is NOT the place for that.

Um, yeah the older Bustle is Bustle therefore the younger Bustle is baby Bustle. If that offends you then I am not sure what to tell you.....

Ahhh, I see. I took it to be a derogatory term. My apologies.

No harm Cshs, Bustle has an older brother on the team. Elbert will go down as one of the best QB's in school history, I believe he may have the all time season passing record as of know, plus he's a very good runner, he will not be easy to replace but I'd like to hope they have a player good enough to make due behind center because they have some good skills coming back. Now I don't know what they have coming back up front, I think Turner will be back so that's at least one returning on the line, hopefully coach M has some hard workers coming back, they'll need some quality linemen to take that next step. I think the program has turned the corner, they have more talent on the teams today as opposed to just a few years back, rising enrollment and actually winning games can only attract more players, we'll see but I don't think we'll see 0-10, 1-11 any time soon.

Turner is a junior so he will be back, but the rest of the line will be lost to graduation. I don't really know who will replace them, but I'm sure 'coach M' will be able to find some suitable replacements.

I don't see it either. There is sooooo much talent coming up through the feeder programs, and they are all excited to play for SK after seeing this and last years season.

Don't forget about the loss of TE Justin Korhs on Offense. He is the best player that nobody talks about.

The line also returns Skaggs who I believe received playing time this year but I could be mistaken.

Also, don't be shocked if the SK team next year has a losing record. They do have a few good skilled positions, but the line will be inexperienced which will cause problems, and unless the defense gets dramatically better, they might have trouble winning games.

The team has a good record this year but as a whole they beat the teams they should beat and lost to the teams that were good. I honestly think they were lucky to play HC early in the year because I think it would be a lot different game if they were to play now. The reason I'm saying this is because the team next year is really not going to be as talented as this year. However, hopefully they will have one of the things you can't coach, HEART, unlike this one has shown at times. IF they do have this, then they might be able to win some games.
