Who’s Jacob Burton?

2-sport athlete and 2000 graduate. Old college friend and had to show him some love! Probably best basketball and baseball player on the 99-2000 teams.

Off and on teams from from 1920’s. Records back til the 80’s but they are not recorded, maybe I’ll do that if I get bored. My dad played in 83. Only played 10-15 games back then.

 

There’s scorebooks and stats back to the 80s? That’s awesome.

There’s a lot of people I think need to be in first however. 100+ years of athletics.

From the “modern era” Eli Florer has to be near the top of the list. Excelled in football and baseball and was a solid contributor in basketball.

 

He had a really nice run all around. Definitely a worthy candidate.

Yep it’s been 77 years, he is eligible. But seriously his jersey is hanging from the rafters at Morehead, if Bracken doesn’t follow suit with this new HOF then it’s flawed.

I think his jersey should be retired, but not the number. Warren Cooper should be the only number retired, nobody wears 25 again.
