Vikings/Eagles NFC Championship Updates

Featured Replies

Didn’t see an Eagles’ tour de force, but for the life of me I could not figure out how Minnesota was favored. Foles is not a world beater, but he is a solid QB with many starts under his belt. He is basically Case Keenum which is viewed as a much better QB. Philly’s D and run game have been legit all year, with a talented array of WRs.

Looking like teams that play indoors and make to the conference championship is now going to be 0-13 if something major don't change in the 2nd half.

That’s not correct.

If this team shows up in 2 weeks, they will beat the Pats.

Because before today Foles hasn't looked that impressive at all since taking the starting job. Foles hasn't even looked like a good qb since about 3 or 4 years ago.

Another example of it doesn't matter how good of a defense or running game you have. At the end of the day to win in the playoffs your qb has to make plays.

That’s not correct.

His original post stated dome teams in the NFc playing on the road outdoors were 0 and 12. Which means it would be now 0 and 13.

I won’t say anyone is beating the Patriots until they are ahead with three zeros on the clock.

I’m just never going to see the Vikings play in a Super Bowl. You’d think I’d have come to terms with that by now.

That is what Fox reported at the start of the game. That teams that played indoors were 0-12 in League Championships playing on the road outdoors. Who has won? and let Fox Sports know they may give you something. lol

That’s not correct.

This applies to teams that play indoors and are playing outdoors (and obviously away) for the conference championship.

At home (and indoors) or in other indoor venue they fair better.

When I heard that today before the game started I figured that curse would kick in.

Your first post effectively said dome teams have never made a Super Bowl.. It didn’t mention the “road outdoors.” futurecoach clarified your post to mean dome teams on the road have never made a Super Bowl.

That is correct they just showed the stat it is actually any team AFC or NFC since 1966. That indoor teams will now be 0-13 in Conference Championship Games played outdoors.

I also actually looked it up online indoor teams that have went to the super bowl won their conference championship games at home (Colts,& Saints) the Falcons won on the road at Minnesota but that game was played indoors at the metrodome.
