January 12, 20188 yr Improper ownership of guns, knives, and cars kill people. So does improper ownership of a very minuscule number of pits. Except by all accounts the story in the OP of this thread wasn't a case of improper ownership.
January 12, 20188 yr Improper ownership of guns, knives, and cars kill people. So does improper ownership of a very minuscule number of pits. Nope. Nope. Nope. It has nothing to do with ownership or training or anything else. It's very simple, a gun isn't going to lose it and run over to my house to kill my child. A car isn't going to get hungry and try to eat my child. You can't compare.
January 12, 20188 yr So you're a creature of death? Cool. Absolutely. We all have the ability to kill. There are many documented cases of humans killing other humans.
January 12, 20188 yr None of them. And neither can pit bulls that are properly cared for. So you are saying that if a pit bull is cared for proper it can't kill someone?
January 12, 20188 yr Nope. Nope. Nope. It has nothing to do with ownership or training or anything else. It's very simple, a gun isn't going to lose it and run over to my house to kill my child. A car isn't going to get hungry and try to eat my child. You can't compare. Neither will a pit bull.
January 12, 20188 yr Except by all accounts the story in the OP of this thread wasn't a case of improper ownership. They let the dog around a small child. How is that not the owner's fault?
January 12, 20188 yr Has a gun ever been used to kill a human? No comparison. The gun didn't do the killing. The person who used the gun did the killing.
January 12, 20188 yr Neither will a pit bull. Yes it can. There are documented, factual cases of pit bulls walking over and killing children.
January 12, 20188 yr Except by all accounts the story in the OP of this thread wasn't a case of improper ownership. We have no way of knowing that. Just because the grieving father says so, doesn't make it so. The simple fact that the child was left alone playing with the pit shows improper ownership IMO.
January 12, 20188 yr Yes it can. There are documented, factual cases of pit bulls walking over and killing children. Because of improper ownership. It's not that difficult, I promise.
January 12, 20188 yr So you are saying that if a pit bull is cared for proper it can't kill someone? Can't? Nope, not saying that. A German Shepherd CAN kill. A Doberman CAN kill. A St. Bernard CAN kill. A Rottweiler CAN kill. If your argument is that pit bulls CAN kill, you're going to have to drastically broaden your attack on breeds.
January 12, 20188 yr So you are saying that if a pit bull is cared for proper it can't kill someone? Of course it can. So can a maltipoo. So can you, so can I. So can a cat.
January 12, 20188 yr Because of improper ownership. It's not that difficult, I promise. What is improper ownership? You keep saying that. Let's have a definition. It sounds like you're saying if a dog is properly owned, it is impossible for said dog to attack someone. Surely that's not what you're saying, but that's surely what it sounds like.
January 12, 20188 yr Because of improper ownership. It's not that difficult, I promise. It's really not.
