January 6, 20188 yr Bill Belichick was the New York Giants' defensive coordinator from 1985 to 1990, and he may be considering filling the team's head coaching vacancy amid a reported rift between Belichick, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and owner Robert Kraft. The New York Daily News' Gary Myers spoke to a source who said Belichick "sees an opening" to coach the Giants and that this offseason "is his last chance" to take the job. January 6, 20188 yr Author I truly can't see this happening. His age for one and I don't think he can or will leave Tom Brady. Why leave a super bowl contender for a re-builder?
January 6, 20188 yr I truly can't see this happening. His age for one and I don't think he can or will leave Tom Brady. Why leave a super bowl contender for a re-builder? What if Brady is retiring at the end of the year? Would he leave then?
January 6, 20188 yr Per Cowherd, (who I rarely watch anymore because his show has gotten tiresome and blah-blah-blah nothingness to me) Belichick is furious over the recent deal to keep Brady and trading the quarterback to SF. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he left. Seems to be bad feelings between the owner and coach.
January 6, 20188 yr Author What if Brady is retiring at the end of the year? Would he leave then? Possibly but I don't think it would be to the Giants. As the article states, this would be his best chance to take the Giants job...
January 6, 20188 yr BB is a control freak and has a super huge ego. If the Brady/Kraft/Garapalo thing is true. I can see him being furious. He has to be feelng betrayed and knows ownership doesn't have his back.
January 6, 20188 yr What if Brady is retiring at the end of the year? Would he leave then? It would be funny if he took Brady with him, drafted a QB, and let the young QB learn from Brady.
January 6, 20188 yr BB is a control freak and has a super huge ego. . And is one of the best of all time.
January 6, 20188 yr And is one of the best of all time. Without question. If Kraft did indeed put Brady ahead of BB, he made a mistake.
January 6, 20188 yr Without question. If Kraft did indeed put Brady ahead of BB, he made a mistake. Agree
January 6, 20188 yr I truly can't see this happening. His age for one and I don't think he can or will leave Tom Brady. Why leave a super bowl contender for a re-builder? I don't think the Giants are far off from competing. They are one year removed from 11-5 season with talent on both sides. They need help, for sure, but Belichick could work wonders with their roster IMO. With that said, this article is just a bunch of information copied and pasted from other articles. I think there is something going on in New England, but I'll still be very surprised if it ends with Belichick coaching the Giants.
January 6, 20188 yr Possibly but I don't think it would be to the Giants. As the article states, this would be his best chance to take the Giants job... If you believe those around Belichick, the only places he wants to coach other than New England, is the Giants. He loved his time there and has a lot of respect for the Giants organization.
