Station hasn't lost a game to a KY school yet. I'm thinking their game against Scott County next weekend might be a good one for the CKY contest.

Bryan Station is so fun to watch, and the home crowd was very entergetic.

Boone took over to start the 4th quarter. He plays with great energy and has made himself into one of the top players in the region.

Couple of thoughts on the game.

Like I said in the updates tread you have to make shots to win and Central just had way too many misses or forced shots. A lot of that has to do with Stations pressure, it is relentless.

It was easily the most physical game that I have seen all year. They were no doubt letting them play on the inside and around the rim. When you realize that, that is what they are doing, then you need to put on your big boy pants and go hard and tough to the rim. Central didn't finish strong till late in the game and that made a huge difference as I felt they were missing inside shots looking and hoping for a foul. They also need to trust there outside shooting. They can get to the hoop on a lot of teams, but teams like Station it just isn't as easy.

This game was just a slug fest between to very good teams. Station is probably a team a lot of teams and fans outside the 11th say "who" about, but other then Fern Creek and Trinity, I think they are the best team I have seen play this year. And yes I have seen Cooper, Cov Cath, Scott Co and all the others ranked above them play. The style of basketball they play, although not pretty, it is relentless. I would think Ballard is probably a close comparison in style. They are fast and can jump out of the gym. Before seeing them play us twice, I thought their weakness was shooting from outside, if that is the case it sure hasn't happened against us. Lastly, Eric Boone is just a great player. Everything from the energy he brings to the court, starting in the warm-ups, to his ability during the game, this kid can just flat-out play.

A lose is never a good thing, but hopefully Central learns and moves forward as a bunch of tough games await them. On to Louisville Saturday as we play Male .

I would have said Scott Co would win for sure, but after seeing them play Central twice and one other time, I am think it will be a very good game. Time will tell.

Boone is a VERY good ball player and fun to watch. And I agree, the Station fans had a lot of energy tonight

Boone is a "Boss". Not many in the state play as hard and under control as this young man. He knows the game very well and is a great finisher around the basket. Great job "Boss".

Great win for the Defenders. How many did Boone end up with?

I am not sure exactly how many 20-mid 20's I would think, he took over the 4th qtr.. He made some really tough baskets in the paint, he was fearless going into the lane against Cozart. His ability to shield the ball and to maneuver in mid air with his body control is really a site to see. He took 2 right at Isaiah, that routinely Cozart would swat away easily and made them both. His ability to get off the ground is like no one I have seen either, one play, he shot from in close missed, got the tip back, missed it, and was up again to get the put back before most of the other kids on the floor had jumped twice. I have seen him 3 times and I leave more impressed each time I leave the gym.

I agree 100%, he plays with great speed, but also has the ability to pull up on a dime under control and shoot the short jumper. Most kids would put their head down and try to force the opening to the basket.
