I have not seen Lloyd play this year, but I did see the Mercer/Newport game. I don't think Lloyd's D is on par with Newport, so this could get ugly real quick.

What is "Sunshine's" time in the state last year?

 

Donald "Sunshine" won his AA region in the 100 and 200, not for sure the 200 time, but I'm about positive his 100 meter time was 11.00.

 

The time for Corey in the state also has to figure in that he slipped, a significant one, almost a complete face first fall at that. He won his region in the 100 with a 10.71.

I don't think Lloyd will win this game, but I also don't see it as being a huge blowout as alot are predicting. Lloyd is a much improved team from earlier in the year. Mercer is no doubt the top team in 2A, but Lloyd won't get embarrassed.

I see the blowouts coninueing. No competition for the Titans until about the 2nd round of the playoffs. The weak schedule they have played could haunt them in a few weeks.

I would normally agree with that, however, in talking to a few of the players, they really want to compete with a quality opponent. Mercer's players will be sky high when good teams come to town. Their conditioning is fine, and thanks to the blowouts they are very good on the injury front.

Oh, and just a side note. Mercer considers Lloyd a quality opponent, and rightly so. This will be a good game.

I would say the starters are glad the Lloyd game is this week. Hopefully, they will get to play the entire ballgame and not just 2 quarters.

No matter the score the next 2 games, shouldn't the starters stay in to get ready for play-offs? IMO
