December 25, 20178 yr It's no secret that I wasn't exactly a huge Beatles' fan. I could take them or leave them. But in this thread, I 'd like to hear your favorite compositions from the Liverpool boys ... post-Beatles. Each went their own way and enjoyed varying degrees of solo success. Personally, I like the post-Beatles Beatles better. What did you like from John , Paul, George, and Ringo after their Beatles' days were over? December 25, 20178 yr Ringo was underrated. He might have been bigger in his post-Beatles days had he the ability to write songs. I read an interview where he said he had tried to write songs when he was a Beatle but just couldn’t seem to make it work like the other three Beatles. I suppose his post Beatle music was penned by others.

But he made his words to the tune work and it was a big hit, so all is well that ends well, with the exception of a lost law suit and royalties paid out to others.
December 25, 20178 yr I have always been a big Beatle fan and a post-Beatle fan. I was was listening to Lennon’s “Happy Christmas, The War Is Over” on the radio yesterday. That’s a really nice sounding song and the Harlem Children’s Choir’s contribution made it even better. It’s been covered by numerous others with one of the best done by Josh Grogan.

December 25, 20178 yr Author What is Life? George told us in 1971. I didn't know much about life then. I was 9. I just knew I liked fudgsicles and playing pinball at the Krystal Kitchen. Good memories. Song reached #10 in the US.

Never knew how they achieved their “Uber alles” status. 2. I’ve always been a “just because everyone else tells you it’s amazing, does not mean it is”, kind of person. And I despise being chastised with lines like, “You don’t love the Beatles? What’s wrong with you?” I feel like it’s that kind of mentality that fueled their fame. 3. I did really enjoy Wings and “Band on the Run”. Loved the dynamics between Paul and Linda.
December 25, 20178 yr I love the Beatles. Especially from 66-70.(The non touring drug years). Favorite Beatles album The Beatles aka The White album. Favorite post Beatles solo albums would be George Harrison All things must pass and John Lennon's Double Fantasy.
