The fact that Will Ferrell doesn't appear until after that scene, obviously makes that statement untrue.

 

They'd have done better leaving him out of it.

I liked Wedding Crashers a lot and feel like I've seen it more than Old School but I tend to agree it's likely Old School. I can think of funny moments/quotes rather easily from Old School. With Wedding Crashers it's pretty much "mom where's the meatloaf".....

 

This scene always makes me laugh and seems appropriate for a BGP crowd!

 

Jeremy: John, I was first-team All-State. I can put the ball wherever I want to. I'll make it rain out here. Alright guys, bring it in. Blue 17, blue 17! Red 7, red 7!

 

John (to Claire): Oh, you're going to cover me?

 

Claire: Like white on rice.

 

Jeremy: (in background) Red 7! Red 7!

 

John: Alright, I like my odds here.

 

Jeremy: (in background) Hot route! Hot route!

 

John (to Claire): Let me give you a little warning, I'm going downtown.

 

Jeremy: (to everyone) Hot route! Red 7, red 7, red 7!

 

John (to Claire): Look for me in the end zone. I'll be the guy holding the ball.

 

Jeremy: (to John) John!

 

John: What?

 

Jeremy: Red 7!

 

John: I don't know what Red 7 means!

 

Jeremy: Hot route!

He plays my least favorite character in the movie. So there's that.

Old School is the better movie.

The first 1/2 of Wedding Crashers is fantastic. So many hilarious and quotable lines. It does a really poor job of sticking the landing. I'd say Old School is the better overall movie. But if they are both about to start I'll probably tune into Wedding Crashers until it starts to get rough...

Both are great movies. However I literally cried laughing so hard multiple times when I first saw wedding crashers. Plus if both are on at the same time I would choose Wedding Crashers. So wedding crashers for me, but I loved Old School too.
