I am going to say you will not see top notch Walton-Verona for at least another month plus. They have had 7-8 basketball players total for JV/Varsity until this weekend when the football team lost. They got 8 players from the football team including 4 guys that will be in the top rotation. Such is life at a small school, the hope is that they are playing good basketball around Christmas time and for the regional all A tournament.

Over at Anderson County for the Bearcats scrimmage with Holmes and before the game Cobe Penny just signed a letter of intent to play for Bellarmine University on a full ride. Congrats to him and his family.

Congrats to Cobe! Great coach with Davenport; one of the best. And he'll be nice and local for his family, which I know means a lot to them.

8th region - get ready to welcome Woodford County. Unless it derails in the process, it appears that the KHSAA may be set to move Woodford from the 11th to the 8th after the new Scott County school opens ....

Anderson may start a little slow was over last night for their scrimmage with Holmes Gritton did not play sprained his ankle pretty bad earlier this week may miss a week or more of practice. Anderson did not look to have much depth which I expected.
