Congrats Jake!

Dayton is a great school. 58k a year is steep but I have a lot of friends who loved UD. Congrats Jake.

 

The thing I’ve discovered through my son’s recruitment process (he’s a wrestler, not a football player) about really expensive schools like Dayton, is they go out of their way to make the school affordable with large academic awards for high achievers. If you’ve got the grades and ACT scores, is not unusual to see that $50k cut in half right off the top before FAFSA and other financial aid is even considered. Sports can open the door, but the vast majority of recruits need the grades too.

I had the privilege of coaching Jake his freshman year at Ryle. A truly outstanding athlete and scholar. He will be successful whoever he goes both on the field and in the classroom. Jake does things on the field that you cannot coach which is why he is so special. All the best to one of the very best players that I ever had the privilege of coaching.

Jake is at the top of the list for character, dedication, teamwork, respect, hard work, extra effort, etc - incredible young Man with sights much higher than just football. Congrats to a true winner in every sense of the word! I will make some trips to UD.
