For my 2A Dark Horse, I am going with Mayfield.

Danville is my 2A dark horse.

Newcath is my 2a dark horse.

CAL ... With Carr in the line-up, still as talented as any team in the class, but, after loss to NCC, have been somewhat an after thought in many eyes...

I think with the competition involved with 2A yes

I don't think you can honestly believe than Danville, Desales, CAL, Mayfield could be considered as a dark horse. I think any of these four have been the favorites all year to win it all and even though Danville and Desales are probably the favorites, I don't think it would be considered big upsets if Cal or mayfield won it all. I'll go with Somerset as my dark horse.

Prestonsburg is a 1-seed aren't they? I think they would be considered a major (miracle needed) dark horse.

I agree with you rookie57, and I would add LCA on that list. A dark horse is a team that comes out of nowhere to win it all. So I would include Walton Verona, Glasgow, NCC, Erlanger Loyld, Somerset to the list too. Now if Shawnee were to some how stun the 2A world, then you got a movie story line, "Golden Eagles"

I agree and believe that the top five can beat each other and wouldn’t consider it surprising with anyone.

My dark horses are between Somerset and Lloyd. I would have said Newport Catholic earlier on but they haven’t been consistent enough this season. Anything is definitely possible though.

Ill go with the homer pick, because I am a homer and say Owensboro Catholic. They are no doubt playing their best football of the season right now, coming off a tough loss to South Warren.
